I am a holistically oriented, basically happy and healthy woman. At present, I am studying to be an ESL / EFL teacher so I can leave the chemical soup of Tide and Bounce, Lysol and bathroom sprayers and other highly toxic and unregulated chemical fragrances that are more and more pervasive in the US.
I work as a social worker and program director and co-lead fragrance-free Laughter Yoga sessions.
I look forward to this new cyber home where people really "get it" and where I can be of service and support.
It is astounding and flabergasting, really, how people are so oblivious--or chose to be by turning away.
Yes, I am thankful my husband saw the light. Now he just needs to be free of his chronic pain! But I suppose that he will at just the right time. We've both a done a lot to help our MCS...and moving to a 'cleaner' environment will help a lot. We need to leave the ever more congested, polluted North East US...
So...stay tuned cus our long-term 3-5 year plan is down to one more year to go before we uproot and travel, in part to find that new home, but also to live itinerantly for a while. We are both avid world travelers, albeit frustrated ones as we haven't traveled as much as we'd like, but maybe more than most. How about you? :)
You know, we live in such an industrialized society that our health is being jepardized. What frustrates me is that people are immune to it and just except it. Did you know that in new borns they found through research several toxins in umbilcal cord. Many were carcinogenic. Thank God for sites like this. Many Nurses close their eyes for the pay check. Many nurses are not healthy at all. You are bless to hve husband who saw the light. Let's keep in touch! Delete Comment
Hi Mary, Congrats on your certification. I'm involved with EFL but don't teach it online. I have decades of experience in language learning and teaching that I can draw from, fortunately. So I would try to get experience and see if you enjoy the profession. There is quite a bit of choice within teaching ESL, from private tutoring to teaching Business English to working with kids to travelling. Mostly, it's part time work. Teaching online is a new option and if I were you, I'd start researching online schools that teach EFL and find out if you have the necessary certification to allow you to teach for them. In addition, I'd surf the net and read all I could about tutoring online. This site of EFL teachers is a good resource. http://eflclassroom.ning.com/

Welcome Mary! Guess what? I am currently an ESL teacher, too! Work from home. Let me know if you need a hand navigating around here. I tried laughter yoga once. Was really funny.
